The world is full of heartache. I believe that change can happen and that we as the human race can make a difference. It has to start to with us. The difference has to begin with us within our heart. It is the “Man in the Mirror” where change begins.

Just today I was speaking with a young woman who has two bad Kidneys. She expressed that she would never had gotten involved with local charities if it had not been for her kidneys shutting down. She was just going on with her life. . . then sickness came and she took a long look in the Mirror.

Change had to happen and it began with her.

She may need two kidneys but she has a bed, a warm home, two parents that love her, food to eat and clean clothes on her back. There are others that don’t. She expressed concern for the “selfishness she saw in herself and then in our society”.

I knew she was going to be okay when she said, “It feels real good to give and help others. It makes you realize that you really don’t have it so bad. It also makes you want to do more.”
