"Heal the
world. Make it a better place... If you care enough for the
living.
Make a better place for you and for me."

The Mission of Making It A Better Place is to create a culture where giving back is second nature, not just a "once in a while" thing. One of the ways that we do this is through Unique Fundraising events and Thrill the World definitely fits that bill! As a world record philanthropist and ceaseless humanitarian, Michael Jackson gave over $300,000,000 to charity. Through Thrill the World Charlotte, Making A Better Place wants to continue these honorable actions by choosing causes that were near and dear to Michael. We believe Michael would be proud of the charities and causes we chose! |

S.A.F.E. (Spay/Neuter, Adoption, Foster and Education) Animal Haven is a non-profit group of volunteers...
that
care deeply about animals and our community.
They exist entirely on donations from
their
supporters.
S.A.F.E. Animal Haven sees hundreds
of animals whose bonds with humans have been
broken. To help maintain those bonds, they serve as a
community resource for information about
companion animals and their care.
The
cornerstone of the program is to educate and
promote the concept of spaying and neutering.
S.A.F.E.
Animal Haven's mission is to decrease the
endless stream of dogs pouring into animal
care facilities by providing foster and
adoption services, educational school
programs and promoting the spaying/neutering
of companion animals.

In many ways, America is the land of plenty. But for 1 in 6 Americans, hunger is a reality.
Many people believe that the problems associated with
hunger are confined to small pockets of society, certain areas of the
country, or certain neighborhoods, but the reality is much different. Right now, millions of Americans are struggling with hunger.
These are often hard-working adults, children and seniors who simply cannot make ends meet and are forced to go without food for several meals, or even days.
North Carolina is one of five states that has a food insecurity rate
that is higher than the U.S. national average!
We will be collecting and distributing food
to local area food pantries, based upon current need at the time food is
collected. If you have a suggestion, let us know.
It’s time to educate ourselves about the
issue of hunger in America and take action!
Over the past three decades, childhood obesity rates in America have tripled...
Today, almost one in every three children in our nation is obese or overweight.
The numbers are even higher in African American and Hispanic communities, where nearly 40% of the children are overweight or obese. If we don’t solve this problem, one third of all children born in 2000 or later will suffer from diabetes at some point in their lives. Many others may face chronic obesity-related health problems like heart disease, high blood pressure, cancer and asthma.
Everyone has a role to play in reducing childhood obesity, including
elected officials from all levels of government, schools, health care
professionals, faith-based and community-based organizations, and private
sector companies.
Dance is a fun, easy way to introduce physical activity into a family’s routine while enjoying quality time together.
Many schools are now using dance as part of the physical fitness curriculum.
